First challenge of the year

Hi everyone hope your well? thought I would share with you all my first challenge card of the year. This is my design for the new challenge over on the sirstampalot blog. The theme this month is 'Monochromatic', so I went for my favourite colour tones of purple I added a little black card stock to make the colour stand out more. QUICK SOMEONE PINCH ME.........

TODAY THE LATEST ISSUE OF CARDMAKING AND PAPERCRAFT CAME OUT AND INSIDE ARE THE RESULTS OF CARDMAKER OF THE YEAR 2011..... CAN YOU BELIEVE IT I HAVE COME 1ST IN THE WOODWARE CATEGORY AND 2ND IN THE D.M.C CATEGORY. I AM IN TOTALLY SHOCK!!!!!!!

HERE IS MY PROJECT I MADE FOR WOODWARE I USED TWO CLEAR STAMP SETS TO MAKE THIS HANGING 3D BIRD CAGE WITH A MATCHING GIFT BOX. I USED MADE MY BIRD CAGE SO IT HAS A BIRD SITTING INSIDE THE CAGE AND ONE THAT HANGS FROM UNDERNEATH, SHOWS GOOD IN MAGAZINE.

AND FOR D.M.C I MADE A COLLAGE EFFECT BACKGROUND WITH PAPERS, AND A FASHION THEMED POSTCARD, I GAVE IT ALL A DISTRESSED LOOK WITH OF COURSE TIM HOLTZ INKS. THEN I MADE MY STITCHED TOPPER AND MADE IT LOOK LIKE ONE OF THE WOODEN RINGS YOU CAN BUY FOR CROSS STITCHING. I USED FIBRES, PEARLS AND BUTTONS AND STITCHED AROUND THE EDGE OF MY CARD. I THINK IN THE NEW YEAR I BEST HAVE A CRAFT ROOM MAKE OVER IF I AM TO MAKE ROOM FOR MORE GOODIES!!!!!!

What a lucky day it's been!!!!!!

Hi everyone hope your well?, thought I would share with you all my wonderful news today a parcel turned up full of lots of yummy Crafttime goodies wow I hear you say where did they come from.... well a while ago Quick cards made easy run a competition where you had to made a easel card and today I found out I was one of the lucky winners!!!!!

This is the card I entered I used my new Kanban stamps and of course one of my favourite Martha punch around the page sets. How lucky am I. The prize includes a mix of glitter papers, ribbons, flowers, glues, bead making kits and three lovely ribbon sets. Think I am going to have fun playing with these new goodies.
Here is a close up look at the topper part of my design I used my Tim Hotlz inks to give the background a snowy effect and then stamped and coloured my image in. I also added glitter to the trees and ground. Off to have a play, and to think of where I going to store it all!!!!!!

CHARISMA CARDZ CHALLENGE 'PINK AND GREEN'.

Hi everyone I thought I would share with you my card I have made for the new challenge over on the Charisma Cardz blog. The challenge this week is 'pink and green'. For my card I have used some mixed Dovecraft teahouse papers, papermania buttons, doodlebug trim and mixed pearls colours. I went for a sweet Tilda image which of course is promarkered. FATHER'S DAY CARD AND NEW LOOK STORAGE FOR MY PRO MARKERS......

Hi everyone hope your well?been busy storing my storage out for my craft products over the last few day and thought I would also share with you all a Father's Day card I have just made. I have used some downloaded paper, Edwin images, card stock, eyelets, frames,and trusted pro markers.

For the inside of my card I used so of the same card stock and downloaded paper as well as a Father's Day verse. Went for a nice Blue and gold tone to the design.

LOOK WHAT ARRIVED A HOUR AGO......

My T.S.V thought I would share with you some toppers I have made already with it. I have used just off cuts of white papers, some distress inks and pro markers of course to colour images in. Found the stamps good quality and they stamp well rubber is nice and thick. The background stamps are great too, and most images are a good size all in all a good stamps and a nice mix of themes. Hope you like my first attempts please feel free to leave your comments.

Hi everyone hope you all had a lovely weekend in the lovely sun it's time for another great challenge from Sketch and stash and this time we have a wonderful prize from Simon says stamps for one lucky winner.
The sketch this time is something different and most of the dt went for a circle themed easel card can't wait to see what you all made.
For my card I used a stamped image which I was sent by my fellow dt member Jill (Thanks Jill it's lovely), the papers are from my stash along with the ribbon, metal flowers (which were found at the bottom of a drawer) and the little charm. I coloured my image with a mix of promarkers and inked around the edge Thanks for looking and enjoy the challenge.

I loved this sketch this time so just had to make two cards first up I have used a Penny Black image which I coloured with pro markers. Papers are from the new Forever Friends cd rom, and the gems and ribbon are from my stash.

My second card I have used the same papers from the cd rom but this time I teamed them up with a Sarah Kay image and a message stamp from my new Honey and Hugs stamp set. Hope you like my cards and enjoy making your cards.

SIR STAMPALOT AND FOREVER FRIENDS CHALLENGE.
This is my card I have made for two challenges first up is the June Sir stampalot challenge which is 'punch it' and the second challenge is Forever friends which is 'Kinetic cards'. I went for a easel card made with images and papers from the brand new Forever friends cd rom. The punches I have used are a x-cut border, corner punch and a mini heart punch. The ribbon is from the Papermania capsule collection. I added the message, little hearts and little gems to finish. Loved making this card and hope you like it too. Thanks for stopping by.

SIR STAMPALOT MAY CHALLENGE

This is my card I have made for the new challenge over on Sir stampalot, ( Butterflies and blossoms). I have used a Tilda image, some Paper cellar papers, lace ribbon, some little gems, and super cute little blue paper roses. The little leafs were from a punch and butterflies I stamped and added the wire. Inside I used more of the papers and stamped a birthday message, on a layed oval shaped. To finish I added more of the little gems.

Morning everyone here is my card I have made for the new challenge over on the Sir stampalot blog. Can you believe the prize is a Circut machine!!!! Wow !!!!. For my card I have kept to gold and blank tones, I used a cuttlebug folder, some gold mist spray on the frame, and some fairy rubber stamps. Here's a closer look at the frame part. I decoupage the fairy coloured her with pro markers and added glitter. I die cut the little corners and added the little gems and message to finish.

Card I have made for my Dad's Birthday
Afternoon came home early today so thought I would share with you my card I have made to give to my dad tomorrow. For his card I have used a forever friends paper pad, some ribbon, gems,and a message topper. I stuck to brown tones, and just added the gems and ribbon for extra finishing touches. Inside I used more of the paper and just added a little message and and bit of ink around my edges of the paper.

YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT.......
Just before Christmas I was looking on line and found this site called Starblaze. They were running a Christmas card competition , so I though why not have a go while about a week ago I found out I won and look what turned up at my door!!! How lucky am I , it's a great little site with lots of different brand products, and it's run by a really nice lady called Jane. May be worth a look as you never know when another competition will pop up.
This is a card I have made with some of the brilliant products, the design sketch is from Becky and is going to be the new one for next weeks Sketch and stash challenge. just loved the design. How cute is this little rabbit stamp that was in the goodie bag.

For my card I have used some of my DCWV Christmas papers which I have had since last year told myself I couldn't buy any new papers until I have used this pad up. Don't tell anyone but I got the Docrafts goodie bag and that had a Christmas pad in it!!!. The image is a Tilda of course and it's one of my favourite Christmas ones. CARD ORDER FINISHED.....

Thought you all might like to see my completed card order finished today all I have to do is put them in their little bags and all ready to be sent to my Lady. She wanted quite a simply design, so went for these each is made so the topper on each card opens up like a mini card so she can write all the time,place details in there and then the main message/person name goes into the main part of the card. Went for soft toned papers, and used some Lovely baby Tilda images, Forever Friends and a pram stamp to make them. Each card has soft toned ribbon and card candy on them. Hope my Lady's like them she seen pictures and says they are prefect so hope she likes them when she see them in the flesh.

TWO CHALLENGE IN ONE (PENNY BLACK 49 AND CUTE CARD THURSDAY 61).
Good afternoon everyone sorry not been about much really not had much time and haven't really been into making cards for the pass few days. Anyway had some time to myself day so thought I would give a couple of challenges ago. This card I have made is for the two new challenges, first Penny black 49 "recipe 3.2.1" you have to have 3 flowers,2 papers and one brad. So for my card I have used Bloom and grow papers, golfing Penny Black image, prima flowers and for my brad I have used a glazed mini brad. I thought this card would work great for cute card Thursday challenge too "sporting chance". Hope you like my card and hope to have some more to show you over the next few days.

This is my card I have made for the new challenge 58 "mirror mirror". For my card I have used a cute forever friends sticker and some more of the Minds eye paper. I thought I would try something a bit different so went for a folded card. For my Mirror element I have used mirror card.

This is a card I made last night with some of my new goodies. Thought it would be ideal for the Charisma cardz challenge 17 "Thank you" and the Penny black challenge 47 "Three different shapes". For my three shapes I have used squares,rectangles and triangles. I used my new stamp set "Tiny wishes" and the paper is from a pad I had in my stash. Sorry not been about much this week been a mad one, had a lovely day today went to a new craft shop that has opened near me and wow it was fab, they had so many of the new Docraft products in so just had to have some. If you haven't got the new flocked papers from Papermania I would recommend them highly they are just lovely!!!!. Just had to treat myself to a pad. Got home and what was waiting for me but my new Penny black stamps, which I ordered from Glitterpot only the other day their service is so good!!!. I am going to have some fun with these goodies!!! off to play.

CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 15..... AND TWO CHALLENGE CARDS
This is the card I have made for the new challenge over on Clare's challenge blog. The challenge this week is colour "Turquoise and yellow". For my card I have used papers from the big stack and the flower stamp set that matches. I stamped the Paisley design onto white card and added Turquoise and yellow pen to it. After I had done this I thought I could have just cut the patten from the paper.(Oh well silly me). I then used two different Turquoise papers and stamped around the edge of one of the pieces using the little circle stamps. To finish I used one of the message from the paper sheet.

Wow how lucky am I my Thank you card has been printed in the new issue of Creativity. I can't believe it, I was really pleased with this card when I made it but didn't think they would print it. It's on page 57 if you would like a better look. Just love those Forever Friends bear products!!!

JUST MAGNOLIA CHALLENGE TWO.

This is my card I have made for the new challenge over on the "Just Magnolia" blog. The theme this week is "pink and green" so I have used my "Love "Tilda and Penny Black dog image. The flowers were made using the flower set of stamps from Clare Curd. I used my new nesties and the little message came free with issue 15 of Creativity. To finish I used some Papermania trims.

This is my card I have made for the new challenge over on Cute card Thursday. The challenge this week is 'Floral Fantasy', so for my card I have used this lovely image of some bees sitting in a bunch of flowers. I used little pearl flowers and added gems to the middles of them. I water coloured the image and added a thank you message to finish.

CLARE CURD'S SIGNATURE RANGE CHALLENGE LIMITED SUPPLIES.
This is my card I have made for the new challenge over on Clare's blog , limited supplies 'Keep in shape'.For this challenge you have to think of a shape and follow it though with all the elements to your card. This one was a little more harder in what to think of making. In the end I went for a flower shaped card which I have decorated with mini flower stamped images. I have stamped the flowers onto plain pink card and paper from Clare's stack. Then I have 3d them all up and added one of the larger flower for the centre piece.

THE SUGAR BOWL CHALLENGE 8. This is my card I have made for the new challenge over on the Sugar bowl. This is challenge 8 Tiets sketch 2 and wow what a great sketch. For my card I have kept to the colour scheme of lilac, yellow and green, and used some paper I downloaded from the Cuddly buddly website. To finish I add mini fabric flowers and little punched corners.

CLARE CURD SIGNATURE RANGE CHALLENGE.
This is my card I have made for challenge two (technique-diy flowers). For my card I have used some of the lovely paper from Claire's big stack and the flower images I stamped with the new stamp range. I thought I would try something a bit different and I made a weath with the little flower and some punched out grass/leafs. To finish I added a simply message and some ribbon.

CHARISMA CARDZ CHALLANGE 12.
This is my card I have made for challenge 12 my favouite things, it doesn't show all my favouite things as would need a very big card so went for a simply c6. I have used two colours I love pink and blue and used some of my favouite things which are ribbons and rubber stamps, gems, and brads. I am really into my cuttlebug and love to mix colours togther and papers. Bit of a simply card but still quite nice.

A SPOON FULL OF SUGAR CHALLENGE 44
This is my card I have made for the Spoon full of Sugar challenge 'Easter'. For my card I have used one of my Tilda stamps, the paper came free with a magazine and the little eggs are from a stamp too. Ribbon and Easter message were in my craft box.

CLARE CURD'S SKETCH CHALLENGE 2

This is my card I have made for Clare's new challenge. You have to follow a sketch which can be found here. I have used my new papers from her big paper stack. If you haven't got one yet I couldn't recommend it enough the papers are really good quality and the pattens so easy to use. For my card I have used the dotty and flower patten paper. This flower paper is great as it white so you can colour it any colour you like. To finish I have used a circle message and some Antias gems.

THREE CHALLENGES IN ONE

This is my card I have made to cover three different challenges first is the Charisma cardz challenge 11 Gorjuss sketch, second is Cute card Thursday challenge 52 and third is Penny Black challenge 41- Doodling.
For my card I have used the sketch from the Charisma Cardz challenge and used two different papers from a Paper Cellar pad and 6 different embellishments including gems, eyelets, ribbon, buttons and the little flowers are made from shrink plastic. I have used a Penny Black image and done some doodling on my card so it will work for the penny Black challenge too. This card I just made for fun I have used papers from the Daisy and Dandelion pad, the background is a tilda stamp and the message and ribbon is just what I had in my craft room.

CUTE CARD THURSDAY CHALLENGE 51.
This is my card I have made for the new challenge over on Cute card Thursday. The challenge this week is to celebrate Cute card Thursday's 1st Birthday. Challenge this time is have to follow a fab sketch draw by Katharina. For my card I have used my new Bubbles stamp, some paper from the Quick cards made easy free pad,some papermania trim, and a few prima flowers. Happy birthday Cute card and thanks for another great challenge!!!!!.

SUGAR BOWL CHALLENGE SIX.
This is my card and matching gift bag I have make for the new challenge "Mothers day" . I went for purple tones as this is my mums favourite colour and the images of the Gorjuss girls was kindly sent to me from Becky. Thought they would be ideal for this project. I have used Paper from the Clare Curd paper pad and the letters are die cut from a sizzix set. Just have to find a good gift to go inside ready for Sunday!!!

ANYONE FOR A CHALLENGE....
Good morning everyone spring is here , I thought I would add to my blog each month a picture of what's on my Tilda calendar that sits on my craft desk. Hope you like this months? Anyway here's what I have been up to last night I made two cards for three challenges first up is the new Penny Black challenge week 38 "Something to eat". For my card I have used Hot off the press papers, Doodlebug stamps (Which Clare Curd so kindly sent to me), my Penny Black clear set of stamps, my new nesties and some eyelets,flowers and buttons.
Next up is a card I have made which I think will work for two challenge first Charisma Cardz challenge 8 "Animals" and second Cute card Thursday week 38 "Animal magic". For this card I have used paper I had in my stash, my cute Penny Black cat stamp,ribbon and brads. This card has taken me back to one of my favourite techniques. I used to do alot of distressing to my cards and atc and haven't for so long it was great to try it out again. I just love the effect this gives think I will have to remember to use this more offend.

YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT........

Back in issue 12 of Creativity magazine there was a competition to make a card. You could make it for any theme you liked as long as the products used could be found on the docrafts website or in the Creativity magazine. It was prefect timing as I had just brought the new Forever friends paper pad, stamps and some of the sparkling trims, so I designed my card and sent it in just before Christmas and thought nothing more of it. Until my new issue of Creativity turned up the other day.....

On Page 110 is only my card and it's has won first place wow wow wow!!! To say I was jumping for joy is a understatement, I really can't believe it. I was please with how my card turned out but didn't think I stood a chance of winning as it was such a big competition. Below is the page from the magazine and a closer look at my card. Trouble is now I have got to think where am I going to put it all!!!!

This is my very first time trying one of Clare's sketch challenge out found her blog page on the docrfat website last night so thought I would have ago. Good morning everyone it's that time again for a new sketch over on the blog sketch and stash which is run my the Wonderful Becky. Before we start I wanted to say a big thank you to you all who have taken part so far you have all make some really wonderful cards. WHOS READY FOR A BRAND NEW CHALLENGE FOR THE NEW YEAR......

Today is the start of a very exiting new challenge blog it's called SKETCH AND STASH, and it's run by the lovely BECKY. I have been choosen as one of the lucky design team members and hope you will join in, have some fun and help makes this a huge sucess.

The idea of this new blog is as follows...Every 2 weeks there will be a sketch to follow. You can rotate the sketch, resize the elements and add extra elements if needed.The second part of the challenge is to use your newest stash on your card.
